Hiring: 3~4 Student Hourly Positions for Remote Sensing Data  Annotation and Processing

Remote Work Eligibility Detail: Entirely remote or contactless during COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Anticipated Hours Per Week: 5~10 hours per week

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum: $12 ~ $15
Number of Positions: 3 ~ 4
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate student in geography, earth science, environmental science, civil engineering, computer science and electrical engineering, information science, or related field.
  • Familiarity with image analysis and remote sensing.
  • Highly organized and reliable.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to commit to and maintain a pre-determined work schedule (also during academic breaks)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Familiarity with topics related to image analysis and remote sensing.
Position Summary/Job Duties: The Spatial Computing and Data Mining Lab at the Geography Department is seeking several hourly students to help annotate (label) a set of satellite imagery for the research of AI for Earth Observation. The responsibilities will include interacting with researchers to understand the labels, learning the use of the labeling platform, and labeling satellite images at the pixel level.
